Open the door. Smell the flowers. Jump over the puddle. Kick the ball. That’s the choreography. Behind it are four rules: one familiar action per phrase, one limb pattern at a time, a beat steady enough to land on, and no instruction that can’t be understood by watching. I arrived at them over three years and 300 hours of teaching dance to people with developmental disabilities — mostly by getting them wrong first.
Across six weeks of measured sessions, the time it took someone to start moving fell from 12.8 seconds to 1.8, and by the last week nobody needed a prompt. The problem was never that they couldn’t follow. It was what I had built.
Everything I built after that — the sequence, the tutorials, the data, including the week it went backwards — is here, and free to copy.

The week it went backwards
In Week 3, progress reversed when I overcomplicated the choreography. After simplifying the steps back to core principles in Week 4, every metric fully recovered and surpassed earlier peaks.
What this cannot claim
